The Elements of Drawing session 1

The first of a series of monthly guided sessions online, exploring Ruskin's The Elements of Drawing. This session will be introduced and led by Companion Arjun Shivaji Jain.

Join us as we embark on a guided journey through John Ruskin's book The Elements of Drawing, first published in 1857. Each session will be led by an artist, and be a mix of readings from the text and following the practical exercises that Ruskin sets throughout. There is no need for any prior artistic experience. We will indicate here any special materials needed beyond paper, a pencil and eraser.

The session will run from 1.30pm (UK time), 7pm IST on Saturday 22nd March 2025, for somewhere between 60 and 90 minutes.
