Please describe yourself and your areas of interest.
Stephen Kite is Emeritus Professor at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University; his research explores the history and theory of architecture and its wider connections to visual culture. His key monographs are: Shadow Makers: a Cultural History of Shadows in Architecture (2017), Building Ruskin’s Italy: Watching Architecture (2012), Adrian Stokes: An Architectonic Eye (2009), and An Architecture of Invitation: Colin St John Wilson (with Sarah Menin, 2005) He has also contributed many papers and chapters to international conferences, learned journals and edited books. He is currently researching surface-values in British architecture and criticism c. 1850-2000.
